Astonishing! 75% of U.S. grown people are experiencing insufficient Vitamin D! (1) In India, low levels of Vitamin D are an epidemic in people older than 50 while only an alarming 18.6% of people have normal bone mass. (2) Two-thirds of previously diagnosed osteoporosis patients have low Vitamin D levels. (3) Vitamin D is too essential to be disregarded. So, Yorkville Chiropractic and Wellness Centre wants all of our Toronto chiropractic back pain patients to be sure they're getting enough Vitamin D!
Vitamin D is critical for your health: bones and bone mass, immunity enhancement, and even infection decline and allograft rejection avoidance after organ transplant. (4)
And so, have your Vitamin D levels checked. What level is optimal? Almost 30 to 32 ng/ml or above. (1) If you have Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, or colitis, it's even more essential as Vitamin D deficiency risk is higher for you. (5) And failed back surgical syndrome patients show Vitamin D inadequacy, too. (6) One writer just comes out and says that perhaps Vitamin D should just be given to everyone because of its huge deficiency for so many, its proportionately inexpensive addition to daily life, and its influential benefits in treating so many diseases! (7) Good idea for many of our Toronto neighbors, too.
How much Vitamin D3 is safe? As much as 300,000 IU taken orally for 6 months! Crazy, huh? But one research paper says that this amount may cautiously and capably correct Vitamin D deficiency in adolescents. (8) A different paper says that to achieve optimal Vitamin D status, daily intakes of at least 1000 IU or more of Vitamin D are required. (1) For osteoporotic patients taking pharmacologic therapy for their osteoporosis, higher doses of at least 800 IU daily is suggested. (3) Nutrition is one of Yorkville Chiropractic and Wellness Centre's many chiropractic services.
So, contact Yorkville Chiropractic and Wellness Centre for your next chiropractic . Along with our spinal manipulation treatment, we'd be pleased to talk with you about your Vitamin D condition and how best you can reach the optimal level for you.
